ABOUT ME

Zoya Marincheva's most recent publication, a book of poetry "Dance in Nostalgic Shoes," weaves a vivid tapestry of the immigration experience, and the experience of time. It was released the summer of 2015 to critical acclaim in her native Bulgaria.

Previous original work, including book and film reviews, and translations of several notable Bulgarian authors, have appeared in  the U.S. and Bulgarian publications, among them To Topos (Univ. of Oregon), Two Lines, Washington Square Review (NYU), Erunsmagazine, Zoland Poetry, Liternet, Sega, Litclub, and various anthologies.

A Bulgarian-American, Zoya has made Texas her second home for the past fifteen years. Her academic background is in Bulgarian Philology and English, and her curiosity in global affairs has driven her to occasional forays into economics and law.
